Yemen's Rating: 55.9 out of 100

The Heritage Foundation’s Index above reinforces the prior notion that Yemen is a country where corruption is rampant. Corruption has the lower rating out of all the categories with 21%. Investment Freedom is at arguably at 50% because of the tight regulation the government has on economy and the assets of those within it. Additionally, the instability of Yemen due to separatist factions and Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula. Overall, the economic situation in Yemen is very dismal and are due to continue down this road if a stable, responsible government is not formed.
