Target 8.F: In cooperation with the private sector, make available benefits of new technologies, especially information and communications.

There are many non governmental organization currently working in Yemen to improve the healthcare and infrastructural systems in the rural areas of the country. In 2010, the Yemeni parliament pushed through several pieces of legislation to reform the economic, financial, trade and administrative sectors. These measures brought the debt in the country under control, thus addressing Target 8.D. Yemen has a strong trade relationship with its neighbors including Saudi Arabia, Oman and Sudan. Saudi Arabia, fearing the spread of extremists to its territory, has provided the Yemeni government with training and funding for its military. Yemen also has strong relationship with the United States as both countries continue to fight against Al Qaeda extremists in the south of the country. In 2011, the Dutch government provided Yemen with 5.7 million to continue providing water and sanitation services to rural areas. Yemen is current very close to achieving its global partnership goals and is looking to expanding on all of its current trade gains.
